Construction Superintendent
NCI is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our Multifamily division. NCI specializes in commercial and residential roofing and siding as well as the installation of solar power systems. Position is full time, located in the Richmond area and will oversee all onsite subcontractors and activity. Reports directly to Project Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Managing day-to-day operations to ensure project stays on schedule.
- Report progress to senior management.
- Responsible for examining performance requirements, delivery schedules, and estimates of material, equipment, and production to ensure completeness.
- Must have strong communication skills and be detail oriented.
- Understand engineering plans, office checklists and work autonomously on a job’s Field File.
Requirements:
- 3 years of Commercial or Residential Construction Experience – Preferred.
- OSHA-10 – Preferred.
- Experience supervising subcontractors.
- Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills, Microsoft Project.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
- Ability to work in the elements (hot sun, light rain).
- Ability to lift at least 50 – 75 pounds; comfortable climbing ladders and working unusual heights.

Estimator
Northeast Construction is looking for an experienced Estimator to help support our Multifamily and Commercial Divisions. This position will be responsible for managing the entirety of the estimation process from bid submissions to budgeting jobs. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, detail oriented and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review and gain full understanding of project requirements, plans, and specifications (i.e. Bid Documents).
- Communicate with clients to resolve any issues and discrepancies found within Bid Documents.
- Develop detailed project cost estimate using Microsoft Excel takeoff templates.
- Obtain minimum two (2) vendor quotes for material cost comparison.
- Generate professional proposal document using Microsoft Word.
- Ability to practice efficient time management and juggle multiple bids and deadlines concurrently.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience estimating roofing and siding for multifamily and commercial projects.
- Knowledge of various roofing and siding products and their installation procedures.
- Candidate must possess strong written communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
- Ability to utilize Bluebeam construction software.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.

Metal Fabrication Assistant
Northeast Construction, Inc. (NCI) is seeking a Metal Fabrication Assistant with great work-ethic to join our team. A qualified candidate will be able to efficiently multitask. In order to be successful in this position, candidates should be organized and willing to learn new skills.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with fabricating sheet metals for retail orders and ongoing company jobs.
- Learn to operate sheet metal fabrication machinery safely and independently.
- Receiving and organizing metal warehouse inventory
- Various warehouse & office maintenance tasks
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Microsoft Office (Word Excel and Outlook) skills.
- Familiar with various computer software.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
