Assistant Project Manager- Solar Division

Job Description

Northeast Construction, Inc. (NCI) is seeking a Project Management Assistant with great work-ethic to join our team. A qualified candidate will be able to efficiently multitask while handling administrative and field responsibilities. In order to be successful in this position, candidates should have a high level of detail orientation and excellent communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in general project setup and planning
  • Assist in Developing and tracking Submittals
  • Assist in receiving and processing RFI’s
  • Assist in developing and processing contracts
  • Filing permits
  • Meeting Agendas
  • Assist in compiling invoices and waivers
  • Field inspections for QC and Safety
  • Assist in Punch list development and tracking
  • Assist with Closeout documents
  • Managing day-to-day requirements assigned by the Project manager to ensure project remains on schedule.
  • Issuing purchase orders and managing product tracking 

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree/or equialevant experience 
  • Strong Microsoft office (Word Excel and Outlook) skills
  • OSHA-10 Certification
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history
  • Ability to lift at least 50 – 75 pounds; comfortable climbing ladders and working unusual heights
  • 5+ years experience in the construction industry- Preferred
  • Past experience working on distributed solar projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Base: $45,000-$55,000

Senior Project Manager- Solar Division

NCI is seeking a motivated, experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Solar Team. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for planning, organization, execution, financial performance, and client satisfaction in solar construction projects. Qualified candidates will have previous experience with all aspects of solar energy system design, installation, and support.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day working requirements necessary to successfully complete those assigned projects including design assistance, permitting, procurement, construction management, and financial accounting. 
  • Devising and executing project work plan to ensure contract fulfillment at target financial model.
  • Responsible for monitoring the progress of contract related activities on a regular basis and holding regular status meetings with all accountable partners and the client;
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements, owner specifications and government regulations;
  • Management of Assistant Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Subcontractors
  • Ensure all activities in the schedule are completed in the agreed to timetable and properly documented

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Commercial Solar Construction Experience 
  • 8+ years of Construction Management Experience
  • Financial and Construction Management Tools experience- preferable Master Builder and ProCore
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) skills, Microsoft Project
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history
  • OSHA-10  Certification
  • Project Management Professional Certification or equivalent experience
  • NABCEP Professional Designation or equivalent experience 
 

Job Type:  Full-time located in Richmond, VA or Remote with more frequent travel. 

Pay: Base Salary $75,000+

Expected Travel:  50% if located in Richmond, 75% if remote

Construction Superintendent

NCI is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our Multifamily division. NCI specializes in commercial and residential roofing and siding as well as the installation of solar power systems. Position is full time, located in the Richmond area and will oversee all onsite subcontractors and activity. Reports directly to Project Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Managing day-to-day operations to ensure project stays on schedule
  • Report progress to senior management
  • Responsible for examining performance requirements, delivery schedules, and estimates of material, equipment, and production to ensure completeness
  • Must have strong communication skills and be detail oriented
  • Understand engineering plans, office checklists and work autonomously on a job’s Field File

Requirements:

  • 3 years’ Commercial or Residential Construction Experience – Required.
  • OSHA-10 – Required
  • Experience supervising subcontractors
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) skills, Microsoft Project
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
  • Have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history
  • Ability to work in the elements (hot sun, light rain)
  • Ability to lift at least 50 – 75 pounds; comfortable climbing ladders and working unusual heights

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Base Salary $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
